New England Revolution
The New England Revolution, or the Revolution as fans affectionately call them, are the soccer team that proves New Englanders can do more than just complain about the weather and drink Dunkin’. Founded in 1995, they’ve been kicking it (sometimes literally) in Major League Soccer ever since. With their home base at Gillette Stadium, they share the turf with the Patriots, which means they’ve got big shoes to fill—or cleats, in this case.
Here’s why the Revs are worth cheering for:
- They’ve got a knack for dramatic comebacks, just like your uncle at Thanksgiving dinner.
- Their mascot, Slyde, is a fox who’s probably better at soccer than most of us.
- They’ve made it to the MLS Cup finals five times—because who doesn’t love a team that keeps trying?
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just someone who enjoys yelling at referees from the comfort of your couch, the New England Revolution is the team to watch. Just don’t blame them if they make you spill your clam chowder in excitement.
